Alice Domar is a fertility specialist with a PhD in Medicine. Domar holds an M.A. and a PhD in Health Psychology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Ferkauf School of Professional Psychology of Yeshiva University. Her career has focused on women’s health issues, particularly the relationship between stress and women's health. She is one of the country’s top experts on women’s health and established the first Mind/Body Center for Women’s Health. Domar has also done extensive research on infertility, breast cancer, menopause, PMS and ovarian cancer. She has created several innovative programs to help women decrease physical and psychological symptoms from disease.
She has published several best selling books including, Be Happy without Being Perfect and is currently working with Dr. Susan Love on a book entitled, Pretty Healthy. Domar has also written articles for Conceive Magazine, Parents Magazine, and Health Magazine. She is a sought-after public speaker, both nationally and internationally and is a leading figure in her field. She was named to the prestigious list of fifteen “Women to Watch in 2004” by Lifetime TV and has appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Dateline, and NBC Nightly News.
Domar is currently the Director of Mind/Body Services at Boston IVF and the Executive Director of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health. She is also an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, and a Senior Staff Psychologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
